Destination unknown or cherished haven? Which do you prefer? Our advice would be to have a mix of the two, as life is all about experiences, and sometimes it's good to have new ones, and sometimes it's nice to revisit an old one.

Scents of the summer season range from freshly cut grass to salty fish and chips to coconut infused suntan lotion, and evoke memories from the many summers past. What fragrances take you back to some special summers?

Cinque Terre - it really is picture perfect for your postcards! Not that anyone sends postcards these days, such a shame really. The 5 fishing villages along this section of the Ligurian coastline are beautiful, and the food from this region is simple and delicious...

The charming city of Venice with gondolas galore, hidden alleyways, Prosecco and Aperol Spritz by the bucketload, and the feeling that you're on a Bond movie set. It might make sense to visit sooner rather than later as tourists may become persona non grata at some point soon.

We certainly do at Taylor Benfield, especially if it gives us the opportunity to do some travelling at the same time.  And we've been very lucky to be invited to lots abroad in some amazing locations, as well as some fabulous places in the UK. Smiles, happy people, champagne, canapés, gorgeous food and wine, what's not to love.

New Zealand is a wonderful place to go and take it easy, it definitely has a slower pace (unlike this river in Taupo) but you'll need a lot of time as there's lots to see and do, especially if you like the great outdoors. The scenery is stunning as you'll see if you read on...

St Albans - the city dates a long way back to Roman times - there's lots to see from way back then and also lots to enjoy in the city in the present day from shopping to eating and drinking plus you never know who you might bump into - a ghostly neighbour or two!

South Africa - experience incredible food and wine for superb value. If you've never been, it's worth a trip, be sensible and you'll have the time of your life. You just might need a diet when you get back.
